This article explains how features are turned on while you're on a free trial, why we do it this way, and what changes once you're set up.
Features aren't self-activated during the trial
By default, when you sign up and start a free trial, features cannot be manually activated from your dashboard. This is intentional. Instead, our Sales team partners with you to switch on the services that fit your environment, including:
Malware Remediation — automatic detection and cleanup of malicious files
ThreatShield — proactive blocking of known attack behavior
SmartWAF — an intelligent web application firewall tuned to your traffic
Dark Web Monitoring — alerts when your data or credentials surface in breach dumps

To activate any of the services above, the first step is a short discovery call with our Sales team:
On the call we'll learn about your hosting setup, recommend the right starting configuration, and enable the features that make the most sense for you — usually within the same session.
Why Monarx doesn't auto-enable everything
It would be easy to flip every feature on the moment you sign up — but that rarely produces the best outcome, and it can do more harm than good. Security tools like a WAF and automated remediation are powerful, and how they're tuned matters as much as whether they're on.
Activating features together with our team means:

We'd rather spend a few minutes making sure Monarx is set up to protect you well than leave you to configure powerful security tooling on your own during a trial.
After activation: you're in control
Once our Sales team has activated a feature for your account, you'll be able to manually enable and disable that feature yourself directly from your dashboard. From that point on, you have full control to adjust your protection as your needs change.
