A common question from our partners is whether the Monarx platform sends automated email alerts for detections or cleanup events.
The short answer is no: Monarx does not natively send email notifications to end-users or administrators.
While this may seem like a missing feature at first glance, it is a deliberate architectural decision designed to protect our partners' infrastructure and provide a superior, white-labeled experience for their customers.
βοΈ Why We Avoid Native Email Notifications
Monarx is built to secure high-density hosting environments. Many of our partners manage thousands, or even millions, of websites on their infrastructure.
If Monarx were to send an individual email for every malicious file detected or every automated cleanup performed, the result would be notification overwhelming. This "alert fatigue" would not only clog administrator inboxes but could also cause legitimate security warnings to be ignored or marked as spam by mail servers. By avoiding native emails, we ensure that your communication channels remain clear and prioritized.
π€ An API-First Approach to Customization
Monarx is an API-first company. This means that every piece of data you see in the Monarx Dashboard is available via our robust API.
We believe that our partners are in the best position to decide how and when their customers should be notified. By using the Monarx API, your development team can build custom notification workflows that fit your specific business model:
Custom Domains: Send notifications from your own official support or security email addresses (e.g.,
security@yourhosting.com) rather than a generic third-party domain.
βBrand Consistency: Fully customize the look, feel, and tone of the emails to match your company's branding.
βIntelligent Aggregation: Instead of sending 100 emails for 100 detections, you can use the API to compile a single "Daily Security Digest" or a "Weekly Health Report" for your clients.
βMulti-Channel Delivery: Beyond just email, you can use our API data to push notifications to your own client portal, SMS, or Slack.
Integration Use-Cases
Our most successful partners use the API to integrate security events directly into their existing systems:
Billing Systems: Trigger an upsell notification in WHMCS or Blesta when a certain number of threats are neutralized.
βSupport Tickets: Automatically open a support ticket when a high-risk "Malicious" process is terminated on a server.
βCustomer Dashboards: Show a "Sites Cleaned This Month" counter inside your proprietary hosting control panel.
